Abstract

Rotator cuff repair is one of the most commonly performed shoulder surgeries and is often performed simultaneously with arthroscopic acromioplasty. However, pain may persist even after surgery, and among the causes is the failure of acromioplasty. This can lead to impingement syndrome, which is likely to result in rotator cuff retear. Here, we describe a case in which failed acromioplasty was treated through arthroscopic bursal acromial reconstruction.
